14,339. Naugle, J. F. June 27. Envelopes.-A safety envelope, containing two pockets, is formed from a blank 1, Fig. 4, com. prising three members 2, 3, 4. The member 4 is doubled along a line 6 and fastened by gummed flaps 7 to form an auxiliary pocket to contain jewellery, coins, photographs, seeds, or other articles. This pocket is then bent inwards on a line 5 against the member 2, which is then turned inwards on a line 15 against the member 3 and secured by gummed flaps 9. This forms a main pocket 12, Fig. 3, the members 2, 3 being of equal length. An end flap 1@, which seals the main pocket, covers a gummed flap 8 which seals the auxiliary pocket 11, and may be secured by means capable of being readily unfastened or otherwise. Cautionary matter is placed on the envelope to prevent the article, contained by the auxiliary pocket, from being damaged by hand-stamping &c. In a modification, the member 4, Fig. 9, is made separate from the other members 2, 3, and has on the inner end 5 a strip of adhesive to secure to the adjacent edge of the member 2.
