An envelope for the mailing of matter subject to olficial inspection, said envelope having an opening throughout one of its edges, a relatively narrow flap connected with a wall of said envelope at one end of the said opening, said narrow flap having an adhesive thereon for securing it to the opposite wall of the envelope to restrain accidental escape of its contents, and a supplemental fiap connected with the same wall of the envelope at said opening, said supplemental flap being laterally disposed in respect to said narrow flap and in operative relation to the other end of said opening, said supplemental flap being freely adapted for insertion into and removal from said envelope, whereby mailable matter substantially filling said envelope is primarily and before the adhesion of said narrow flap, easily and quickly insertible into said envelope without flexion and easily removable from said envelope by fiexion for ofiicial inspection.

An envelope for the mailing of matter subject to ofificial inspection, said envelope having an opening throughout one of its edges, a relatively narrow flap connected with a wall of said envelope at one end of the said opening, said narrow flap having an adhesive thereon for securing it to the opposite wall of the envelope to restrain accidental escape of its contents, and a supplemental fiap connected with a wall of the envelope at said opening, said supplemental flap being of a width substantially equal to the length of said opening beyond said narrow flap and laterally disposed in respect to said narrow flap and in operative relation to the other end of said opening, said supplemental flap being freely adapted for insertion into and removal from said envelope, whereby mailable matter substantially filling said envelope is primarily and before the adhesion of said narrow flap, easily and quickly insertible into said envelope without fiexion and easily removable from said envelope by fiexion for official inspection.
