Abstract

The card (1) has two folding lines (3, 4) and an end piece (2) cut along its edge to form a sort of comb, or saw-toothed notched edge. This is folded over to grip the article (A), and the tautness of the outer wrapping (5) provides the necessary forces (P1, P2) to hold the assembly firm. The opposite end of the card can also be folded and notched to stretch the article, or all the edges can be so used. The cards can be of several shapes. The semi-rigid card is typically formed from paper, card or plastic and may be printed with information or publicity material and have holes for suspension on a display assembly.
