1351885 Antistatic agents for silver halide materials AGFA-GEVAERT A G 1 Feb 1972 [1 Feb 1971] 4661/72 Heading G2C A photographic material comprises at least one silver halide emulsion layer and includes an antistatic additive which is a mixture and/or a graft polymer of a sulphate of a polysaccharide e.g. cellulose sulphate, and a polymer which has a molecular weight of at least 10, 000 and which contains at least 50 mole per cent of carboxyl group containing monomers in free or neutralized form e.g. polymethacrylic acid and/ or polyacrylic acid. The additive may be present in the emulsion layer or may form an antistatic protective layer, which can include gelatine as a binder, coated either on the rear face of the material or over the emulsion layer.
