Abstract

1287971 Coated sheet material EASTMAN KODAK CO 4 March 1970 [10 March 1969] 10371/70 Heading B2E [Also in Divisions C3 and G2] A method of preparing a photographic sheet material comprises coating onto a support material a layer of an aqueous composition comprising from 0.1 to 6% by weight of a hydrophilic colloid, preferably gelatin, and from 0.01 to 1% by weight of a copolymer having 50 to 95 mole per cent of acrylic acid (including substituted acrylic acid) units and 5 to 50 mole per cent of alkylacrylate (optionally substituted in the acrylate portion) units. The copolymer may be of acrylic acid-methyl acrylate (90:10 or 75:25 or 50:50), methacrylic acid-propyl acrylate (90:10) or methacrylic acid-methyl methacrylate (90:10).
