Abstract

1348314 Impact pulverizers MITSUBOSHI SANGYO CO Ltd 3 June 1971 [20 June 1970] 18876/71 Heading B2A An impact pulverizer comprises a cylindrical casing having a feed hopper 1, Fig. 1, supplying material through one side, perforations 13 at the bottom leading to a discharge port 14 and a concentric shaft 12 bearing at least two crushing rods 7, 8, 9, 9' Fig 2, arranged axially in the shaft. The rod 7 which is nearest the feed inlet has a flat surface facing the end wall 21, and the other rod or rods 8, 9, 9' have sharp corners facing the wall 21, and thus sharp leading edges. From three to eight rods may be used, and the rods may have rectangular or polygonal cross-section. A rotational speed of 750 to 1200 r.p.m. may be used, with a 10 mm. screen.
