Abstract

1347288 Fluid-pressure servomotor systems ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 27 May 1971 [29 June 1970] 17431/71 Heading G3P A pilot-controlled unloading valve for a compressor has a filter 5 so arranged that both the air for filling a storage tank and the air which is by-passed to atmosphere during idle running passes through it. The tank is connected to a port 24 receiving air from an inlet 23 through passages 26, 27, 28. When a predetermined pressure is reached, a piston 16 exposed to the pressure through a passage 29, is lifted to allow air to flow through a collar 21 to depress a piston 10 and open the unloading valve 11, the collar being simultaneously lifted until a closure member 21' disconnects the space above the piston from a vent 22. If the filter becomes clogged, it lifts to provide a filter-free route for the air through ports 8'. If the filter becomes both clogged and frozen in position, a flexible disc 6 lifts to expose ports in the filter rim 5".
