Abstract

1346712 Valves METALLWERKE NEHEIM GOEKE & CO KG 14 March 1972 [27 March 1971] 11793/72 Heading F2V In a valve for a central heating radiator, the flow between an inlet 2, Fig. 1, and an outlet 3 is controlled by adjustment of a hollow main closure member 5 screwed into the valve housing. Within the main closure member is an auxiliary closure member 6 which, after removal of cap 15, can be forced open by a drain tube (8), Fig. 2 (not shown), inserted into the hollow interior of main closure member. Thus, with the main valve closed, the radiator can be drained through the drain tube via the inlet 2 and slots (9) formed in the inserted end of the tube.
