Abstract

1346511 Valves ELECTROLUX AB 5 Nov 1971 [26 Nov 1970] 51545/71 Heading F2V A valve in a container, e.g. for waste liquid, having its outlet 12 connected to a source of vacuum, comprises a float 19 carrying a spherical body 21 arranged to close the outlet at a given low liquid level 25, and a further float 16 connected to the float 19 to remove the body from the outlet 12 against the suction effect, at a given high liquid level 26. The two given liquid levels can be adjusted by adjusting the vertical position of pivot arm 17, adjusting length of rope 18 or its position of attachment 20, or by filling or emptying float 19 with material through removable cover 23. The spherical body 21 may be of rubber or plastics. The inner end 22 of outler 12 may have a rubber sleeve for guiding and sealingly-co-operating with the spherical body 21.
