Abstract

1344274 Nozzle holder RANSBURG CORP 28 May 1971 [1 June 1970] 18171/71 Heading B2F A nozzle holder for electrostatic spray apparatus comprises a body of electrically insulating material having an aperture with respect to which a nozzle is located and a projecting member of electrically insulating material on the body to one side of the aperture, an electrode being mounted in the projecting member, such that only a portion is exposed behind the forward extremity of the projecting member, to charge the spray. In the figure, body 19 has an aperture 18 in which nozzle 22 is located, and two projecting ears 12, 13. Electrode 17 mounted in ear 12 is exposed at 16 behind the forward extremity of the ears. The electrode may be flush with a recessed in the ear, but for maintaining the extremity free from sprayed coating material, it is preferred that it projects slightly.
