Abstract

1343965 Parachute or safety harness ETUDES ET FABRICATIONS AERONAUTIQUES 26 Nov 1971 [15 Dec 1970] 54938/71 Heading A3V A parachute harness or safety harness for workmen comprises two shoulder straps 2 engaged at one end in a quick-release buckle 1 and interconnected by a buttocks-supporting strap 3, a waist strap 14 carrying a triangular ring 11 at each of its free ends, two thigh straps 15 carrying similar rings 12, and two adjusting straps 7 engaged at one end in the buckle 1 and after passing through the rings 12 and 11 adjustably engaged in slip rings 5 to provide exactly two adjusting points for the harness. Each strap 7 carries an end member 9 to prevent the end of the strap from slipping through its slip-ring 5. The rings 11 and 12 may alternatively be trapezium-shaped. In an alternative embodiment (Fig. 4, not shown) the straps are interconnected by a back piece.
