Abstract

1343861 Cartons for liquids TRENTESAUX TOULEMONDE SA 9 Feb 1972 [23 Feb 1971] 5961/72 Heading B8P A carton for liquids comprises an outer cardboard tube 1 having short flaps 2 at each end, end closure panels (7), 8, and an inner liquidtight bag. The adjacent side edges 15 of the flaps 2 at the lower end are so angled that they are contiguous when the flaps 2 are folded inwardly at right angles to the side walls of the tube. The tap closure panel 8 has a stippled line 9 defining a tear-off lug 10 which exposes a triangular flap 11 of the bag forming a spout. Removal of the lug 10 is facilitated by a flap 14. A notch (12) in the seam of the bag facilitates opening of the spout 11. The lower end closure panel (7) may be adhered to the lower end of the bag. The tube may be divided into compartments by partitions, each compartment housing a bag. A strap may be disposed across the tube to facilitate handling.
