Abstract

1343558 Selective printing INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORP 23 Nov 1972 [23 Dec 1971] 54183/72 Heading B6F Chain printers.-A type carrier assembly comprises an endless toothed belt 22 and a plurality of U-shaped type carriers 30, 32 mounted on the belt. The type carriers have parallel legs 42 and 44 which are extra wide at the free ends to provide elongated guide surfaces 43 and 47 for co-operation with flat guide surface (62, Fig. 1) on the edge of support plate (12). The legs of every other type carrier are spaced further apart, so that they overlap the end portions of the legs of the adjacent type carriers.
