Abstract

134,269. Clare, G. E. Oct. 14, 1918. Reinforced-concrete floors and roofs.-In reinforced fire-proof roofs and floors of the kind described in Specifications 14267/15 and 102,814, the blocks have dovetail grooves to receive inyerted T-shaped reinforcing bars d with perforated or thickened webs e and fillets resting on the flanges of the bar, the space around the bars being filled with cement. The flanges of the bars may rest in a groove, or the space below the flange may be filled with a tile or cement to protect it from fire. The bars mav be used at alternate joints. The blocks at the top edges are splayed off at j to facilitate the grouting of the joints with cement.
