Abstract

1342408 Ventilating I C engine lubricating circuits FORD MOTOR CO Ltd (FORD MOTOR CO) 21 July 1971 34127/71 Heading F1B An I.C. engine has fuel metering means 35 responsive to an air valve 30 in induction passage 28 to introduce fuel into the induction passage downstream of the air valve; and a conduit 41 connecting the induction passage at a point between the fuel inlet and the air valve 30 to the engine lubricating circuit in head 14, block 18 and crankcase 12 to supply air to the lubricating circuit which is otherwise sealed against entry of ambient air. A conduit 42 which may have a one-way valve 43 allows the air to leave the crankcase and mix with the air fuel mixture in inlet manifold 20.
