Abstract
1340489 Bearing alloy: sintered bearing GLACIER METAL CO Ltd 19 April 1971 [13 Feb 1970] 7058/70 Headings C7A and C7D An alloy for use in bearings comprises Bi 7-16% Cu 0-3% Mn 0-3% Ni 0-3% and Si 0-11% the balance being Al. The alloy may be in the form of a slab with substantially no Bi at one surface thereof formed by allowing the dense Bi to settle during casting. The bearing may be formed by sintering a suitable powder mixture on a steel backing.
