Abstract
1336484 Hammers SCHLOEMANN AG 25 Nov 1971 [25 Nov 1970] 54835/71 Heading B3H A counter-blow hammer has the movement of its trips 7, 9 synchronized by an hydraulic coupling which comprises cylinders 13, 14 into which the piston-rods 18a, 19a of differential pistons 18, 19 extend, the pistons 18, 19 being mounted in hydraulic retraction cylinders 16, 17. The cylinders 13, 14 of the coupling are coaxial with the retraction cylinders 16, 17 and connected by a protection sleeve 23. The cylinders 13, 14 are connected by lines 15 to a cylinder unit 12 whose piston 11 is connected to the lower tup 9, by a rod 10. The upper tup 7 is connected by rods 25 to the pistons 18, 19. The tups are separated by supplying hydraulic fluid to the cylinders 16, 17 to compress gas above the tup and in accumulators 6. When the retraction cylinders 16, 17 are connected to exhaust the compressed gas causes the upper tup to effect a stroke with simultaneous upward movement of the lower tup.
