1336363 Armoured cables HVE-THERMODUCT Ltd 26 April 1972 [21 May 1971] 16322/71 Heading H1A An armoured cable has a wrapping consisting of two metallic tapes of concave-convex crosssection (preformed by feeding between niprollers) wound helically around the cable with substantially the same helix angle, one tape overlying the joints between adjacent turns in the other tape, and with their concave sides facing each other. The tapes, which may be of an electrogalvanized metal, may have butt or gap joints and are preferably of the same width, with the outer tape lying centrally over the joint of the inner tape.
