1334708 Cooling systems A R HAWKER and J E COOK 16 Nov 1971 [17 Aug 1970] 39585/70 Heading F4U A cooling system e.g. for the I.C. engine of a surface effect machine comprises a pump 3 circulating cooling water from the outlet end of a radiator 2 via a line 4 to ducting (not shown) in the engine 1 and returning via a line 5 to the inlet end of the radiator, and a pump 6 having a greater capacity than pump 3 recycles a proportion of the cooled water from the outlet end of the radiator to the inlet end by an auxiliary line 7. The auxiliary line is separate from the ducting in the engine or either of the lines 4, 5. A liquid other than water may be used as the cooling medium.
