Abstract
1333652 Welding by fusion MASCHINENUND APPARATEBAU GRIMMA VEB 4 Jan 1971 295/71 Heading B3R [Also in Division G1] Apparatus for the continuous measurement of misalignment between two equal or unequal thickness sheet metal parts disposed so as to be circumferentially or rectilinearly butt-welded together, and for relative adjustment of said parts to bring said misalignment to a required value, comprises a body 2 moveably held at 1, a feeler 3 fast with said body and engageable, in use, with one of said parts, a feeler 4 slideable up and down in said body and engageable, in use, with the other of said parts, the feeler 4 co-operating with a measuring instrument 7 and with a device 6 controlling, through lines 8, an adjusting clamping device 9 serving to adjust said other part. The feeler 4 is adjustable in length, being provided with an adjustment device 10 which may have a graduated scale. The feeler ends have wear-resisting elements 5 such as shoes or rollers.
