Abstract

1332175 Bottle feeder M C RITSI 19 Sept 1970 40009/70 Heading A5X An infant feeding unit for securing to the mouth of a container 11 comprises a valve seat member 12 defining an annular seat, a nipple 13 having a base portion 26 on the annular seat, a cap 14 for securing over the mouth of the container to secure the valve seat member and nipple thereto, and having a central opening 35 receiving the projecting portion of the nipple, an annular flutter chamber 41 defined by the cap, valve seat member and base portion of the nipple, one or more vents 36 in the cap for communicating the flutter chamber to, atmosphere, flap means 30 of resilient material normally sealing the vent or vents 36, and one or more ports 24 in the valve seat member for connecting the flutter chamber to the interior of the container. A receptacle for the unit, Fig. 16 (not shown), comprises a flexible skin of plastics material (74) secured to a backing board (75) by adhesive or heat sealing. A screen (63) Fig. 13 (not shown), may be carried by the valve seat member to filter food flowing to the nipple. A liner (71) Fig. 15 (not shown), for the container may also be included, e.g. in the form of a thin-walled bellows, the liner being supported in depending relation from the valve seat member.
