A feeding bottle 10 has a flanged nipple 14 seated on its rim, the flange 15 having an annular channel 16 in its upper face and vent apertures 17 extending through the channel 16 to the other side of the flange, there being a cap 12 for holding the nipple in position by means of a flat inner sealing face 13 extending radially inwards beyond the channel 16. The apertures 17 and channel 16 act as venting means when the flange 15 of the teat 14 is flexed away from the sealing face 13.
