Abstract

1,021,252. Cups &c. INSULEX Ltd. Feb. 23, 1962 [March 16, 1961], No. 9668/61. Heading A4A. [Also in Division F4] A heat-insulating cup or like vessel comprises nested containers 1, 7 of heat resistant material joined around their mouths to define a space receiving a cord or the like with a pattern or design printed thereon, the pattern or design being visible through the outer container 1 which is of transparent synthetic plastics. Both containers may be made from e.g. styrene-acrylonitrile or polycarbonate and the mouth of the outer container 1 has an upstanding flange 6 hermetically sealed by solvent or adhesive in a groove in the lip 9 of the inner container 7. The card is cut from stiff sheet material, a disc 13 is provided for the base, and projections from the inner cup, such as the projection 13, locate the card.
