Abstract

1331998 Air filtering system DRAGERWERK AG 22 Dec 1970 [24 Dec 1969] 60952/70 Heading BIT An air filtering system comprises an inlet 1 a coarse particle filter 5 and a fine particle filter 6, air being drawn through the filters by fan 7 to outlet 9. A by-pass 11 for filter 5 is fitted, which by-pass is blocked by rigid closing valve 13, which can move from the open to shut position in a time of the order of a fraction of a second. If it is desired to increase the amount of air being passed the fan is speeded up and valve 13 opened to bypass the coarse filter. A gas filter to remove undesired gaseous substances may be fitted downstream of filter 6. Filter 5 could be a cyclone and filter 6 could incorporate gas purifying means.
