Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically change over operations of fine particle collection and backwashing regeneration, in the magnetic filter for removing fine corrosive product particles in high temp water generated from a power plant, by measuring concentrations of the magnetic particles in inflow water and outflow water. CONSTITUTION:When the magnetic filter is under collecting operation, solenoid valves 14, 18, 26, 27, 28, 29 are opened by the signal of an automatically adjustable power source apparatus 10 and all of other valve are closed. Turbidity meters 30, 31 monitor turbidities related to each concentrations of magnetic particles in inflow water and outflow water and a ratio of the concentrations of the magnetic particles in inflow water and outflow water is calculated by a comparison and calculation apparatus 32 and the signal of the calculated value is sent to the automatically adjustable power source apparatus 10. When this value is increased to a set value, solenoid valves 14, 18, 26, 27, 28, 29 are clesed and solenoid valves 15, 19, 20, 21 are opened to erase magnetism of the magnetic filter, and backwashing regeneration operation using wahsing water and a gas is started and continued for a definite time.
