Abstract
1329378 Inking apparatus ROLAND OFFSETMASCHINENFABRIK FABER & SCHLEICHER AG 21 Dec 1971 [31 Dec 1970] 59459/71 Heading B6C In an inking apparatus comprising a fountain roller 1, Fig. 1, and an adjustable ductor blade 2 the blade is adjusted by rotatable screws 3 each of which is rotated by a cog wheel 6, Fig. 2, actuated by a solenoid movable plunger rod 10, 101, 10<SP>11</SP>. Such rotation of each cog wheel 6 is effected by engagement with the wheel of the associated plunger rod 10 followed by subsequent movement of the rod 10 tangentially to the wheel this movement deriving from axial movement of a carrier 7 upon which the solenoids and plunger rods are mounted. This axial movement may lie in either axial direction depending upon the rotation of a motor driven crank 13 and crank drive 8, Fig. 3. The pressures exerted by the screws 3 on the lower edge of the blade 2 are limited by associating overload clutches with each cog wheel 6. The ductor blade adjustment by the screws 3 may be automatically operated through electrical circuitry.
