Abstract

1296472 Printing apparatus BOHN BENTON Inc 27 May 1970 [31 Oct 1969] 5731/72 Divided out of 1296471 Heading B6C A printing machine comprises a drive shaft 98, by which the mechanism of what is, preferably, a two-cylinder stencil duplicator is operated, and an ink supply mechanism which operates intermittently in response to a predetermined number of revolutions of the shaft. An ink cartridge 338 is mounted on a vertically movable stand 342 and includes a perforate cover 338b which acts as a piston when the cartridge body is moved upwards against a fixed tube 336. Ink then passes through the tube 336 and an ink-distributing tube 300, from which it passes to the cylinders of the duplicator A motion-accumulating apparatus driven from the shaft 98 causes the stand to be moved upwards in incremental steps, so that ink is applied to the cylinders of the duplicator in discrete amounts at spaced intervals.
