Abstract
1,062,957. Printing-apparatus. DRUCKMASCHINENWERK PLANETA. March 10, 1965, No. 10159/65. Heading B6C. A forme inking or damping roller 2 is mounted in the open bearing bushes of a pair of forkshaped levers, lever 6 being shown in Fig. 1, said levers being pivoted about bolts 7 and being adapted, on rotation of a control shaft 10, to be swung downwardly so that the roller falls out of the bushes and is removed on rails 24. The apparatus shown includes a plate cylinder 1, a further forme roller 2a and an axially reciprocated distribution roller 3. In operation the roller 2 is biased against the roller 3 by springs 8 mounted on rods 12 which connect the levers and the shaft 10. The springs 8 act so as to bias the fork-shaped levers into the inoperative position in which the forme roller is removed when these levers are swung downwardly on rotation of the shaft 10, Fig. 5 (not shown). Levers 5 which are rotatably mounted on the bearing bushes of the roller 3 are also pivoted on the bolts 7, Fig. 3 (not shown), and draw rods 22 pivoted on loosely mounted levers on the shaft 10 are connected to the lower ends of the fork-shaped levers by pin-and-slot means. The rails 24 are raised and lowered on rotation of the shaft 10 by cams 26. Eccentric rings 11 are provided to adjust the pressure between the rollers 2 and 3 and a setting spindle 14 is used to adjust the pressure between the roller 2 and the cylinder 1.
