Abstract

1,130,472. Adjusting device for inking rollers. DRUCKMASCHINENWERK VICTORIA VEB. 31 Oct., 1966, No. 48670/66. Heading B6C. A device for supporting forme rollers on rotary presses so that they can be adjusted in position with respect to both the plate cylinder and the inking drum is illustrated in Fig. 2. The inking drum 1 and the plate cylinder 2 are both rotatably mounted in the side wall 3 of the press; one end of a pivot lever 4 is mounted in a bearing bolt 5 of the inking drum 1, while the other end is provided with a hollow shaft 7 in which a rotatable adjusting shaft 18 lies. A further eccentric hollow shaft 8 mounted in side wall 3 also engages the side (10) of the pivot lever 4 (Fig. 3, not shown). The shaft 8 bears an axially displaceable adjusting ring 12, while the adjusting shaft 18 bears an axially displaceable adjusting ring 20. The other end of shaft 18 forms a bearing structure 24 on which is mounted an axially displaceable sleeve 27. A forme roller 29 is supported on a bushing 25 formed on the end face of bearing structure 24, and a certain degree of eccentricity is provided between the journal 28 of the roller and the adjusting shaft 18. The forme roller 29 is secured by pushing sleeve 27 into engagement with ring 31 inserted in the bushing 25; adjustment of the roller 29 with respect to the inking drum is managed by ring 20; adjustment with respect to the plate cylinder 2 is carried out by ring 12 which makes the pivot lever 4 describe a circular arc based on bolt 5, thus enabling the adjustment with respect to the inking drum to be unaltered.
