Abstract

1327943 Mechanical garages K H STIENEN and P TROHLER [trading as STIENEN & TROHLER INGENIEURBURO] 15 Oct 1970 [24 Oct 1969] 49050/70 Heading B8E A mechanical garage comprises platforms 1, 2, 3 extending in front of a series of fixed automobile stopping places. The platforms 1, 2, 3 are supported on rails 6 by rollers 5 so they can be selectively displaced sideways to form a service passage. The platform 1 is provided with a drive motor 7 loaded by a spring to bring friction rollers 11 into driving contact with the floor. Couplings between the platforms 1 and 2 and between the platforms 2 and 3 are respectively actuated by magnets 16, 17. When only the motor 7 is switched on all the platforms 1, 2, 3 are displaced; when the motor 7 and the magnet 17 are switched on the platforms 1 and 2 are displaced, and when the motor 7 and the magnet 16 are switched on only the platform 1 is displaced.
