Abstract

1326817 Electro-photography KATSURAGAWA DENKI KK 19 April 1971 [24 Jan 1970] 23616/71 Heading G2H After the formation of a charge image on an insulative layer adjacent a photo-conductive layer capable of exhibiting persistent internal polarization, using a corona device of one polarity before imagewise light exposure and a corona device of the opposite polarity during exposure, the image is intensified using a corona device of the second polarity (the intensity of the third corona device being greater than that of the second). Uniform exposure may follow the third charging step. The photo-conductive layer is exposed on either surface (through the insulative layer or'an electrode layer. The charge image is developed before or after transfer to a receiver surface. The insulative layer may be the outer surface of a continuously rotating drum. The exposure may be through the second corona device, the third corona device being adjacent thereto (as shown).
