Abstract

1318565 Photo-electrophoretic imaging XEROX CORP 8 June 1970 [9 June 1969] 27528/70 Heading G2H In an electro-photophoretic process the imageing suspension 4 is coated on earthed electrode 1 and charged on its free surface by corona charger 18 simultaneously with imagewise exposure to form an image on electrode 1. Alternatively the image may be formed on an earthed roller electrode (24), Fig.2, having an insulative surface layer (27) during imagewise exposure after charging the imaging layer 4. The layer may be charged by contact with the roller electrode (5), Fig. 3 precharged by corona source 18. The images may be transferred and multi-colour images formed in known manner.
