1326485 Mounting electrical equipment SOC HONEYWELL BULL 19 April 1971 [20 March 1970] 24257/71 Heading H1R Signalling and control apparatus utilized, for example, in a computer (Fig. 1, not shown) is hingeably mounted in a housing 6 so as to be selectively visible from the left, right or front of the computer. The housing is supported by a frame 7 attached to the front of a cabinet (2) (Fig. 1, not shown), which has side doors (3), (4) on both sides. Housing 6 is slidably mounted on two shutters 13 which are rotatable on frame 7 by viture of hinges 8. In the normal operation, the shutters 13 are closed against frame 7 and the frame 23 of housing 6 is astride both shutters. A draw bar 26 engaged in stops 28 prevents housing 6 from sliding along the shutters. To release the frame 23 draw bar 26 is moved to disengage its end 27 from stops 28 leaving frame 23 free to slide along shutters 13, the shutters being held in position against frame 7 by virtue of V shaped leaves 17. Frame 23 may for example be moved completely on to right shutter 13, leaving left shutter 13 free as shown. Frame 23 is prevented from leaving shutters 13 by means of stops 30, on frame 23, and stops 31 on shutters 13. The right shutter 13 now bearing frame 23 and housing 6 can then be pivoted around its hinge 8. As right shutter 13 is now no longer against frame 7 lever 19 is no longer subjected to the action of stop 22 and pawl 21, co-operating with stop 32 of frame 23 prevents backward movement of housing 6. Hence housing 6 is locked in position on right shutter 13. In addition, frame 23 has clasps 33 with catches that hook on to studs 34 affixed to the rear of frame 7 and hence provide further locking of housing 6 in the position shown. The front of housing 6, carrying various signalling elements, switches &c. is now viewable from the side of cabinet (2) to facilitate maintenance work. The same operation can be performed in the opposite sense to return housing 6 to its normal position and the housing may be rotated in the opposite direction to the other side of the cabinet by means of left shutter 13.
