Abstract

Data-carrying slides 8 are retained by the flanges 9 of channel strips 7 each of which is retained on the frame 1 of an information or planning board by means of two lugs 13 (on the back of the strip 7) engaging behind guidos 14, the lugs 13 being disengaged from the guides 14 by longitudinal sliding of the strip 7 to allow removal of the strip 7, but such longitudinal sliding of the strip 7 being prevented or allowed according to the position of sliding and pivoted gates 19 supported by rods 22 slidable in a slideway 23. The lugs 13 project from blocks 12 on the strip 7, and the blocks 12 are inserted between pairs of guides 14 and 15 when the strip 7 is being mounted on the frame 1. Each strip 7 has flanges 9 which are interrupted at 10 and 11 to allow the insertion of the slides 8. Two or more such boards may be joined together by means of bolts engaging screw-threaded connectors 24, or joined to a wall fitting by means of bi-stable spring-loaded pins, or hooks and lugs. A storage box 4 is held closed by a magnet 5. A set screw may be screwed into hole 34 in the block 12 to clamp the strip 7 to the board.
