Abstract

1,024,419. Rack-mounted electrical equipment. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. Aug. 27, 1964 [Sept. 6, 1963], No. 35083/64. Heading H1R. In rack-mounted telecommunications apparatus, Fig. 1, elongate functional units are detachably hinged at one end to the rack 18, and comprise adjacent the other end plug members 13 which enter sockets in a connection panel 14 on the rack when the units 1 are pivotally moved into the plane of the rack. Each unit 1, Fig. 4 (not shown), is provided with a rod 2 which cooperates with a trough 3, 4 on the rack to form a pivotal mounting; sub-units 8 are inserted in grooves 7 in the side-walls of unit 1, and are plugged into connection strips 9 on the rear wall thereof, the unit being closed by a door 10 and being provided with monitoring jacks 5 on the connection panel section 16 of the unit. In alternative embodiments, a single row only of units 1 is provided.
