Abstract

1,127,110. Boxes. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. 1 Sept., 1967 [6 Oct., 1966], No. 44754/66. Heading B8P. A box for, e.g. a battery charger, comprises a plastics coated steel body 1, two flanged plastics end-covers 2, 3 with tongues 13 which can be interlocked with slots 8 in the body, and an aluminium base-plate 4, with hooked ends 24, which can be hinged over bars 14 in the end-covers. The box is assembled by locking one end-cover 2, Fig. 2 (not shown), on to the end of the body 1, with the base-plate 4 hooked on its hinge bar 14. The second end-cover 3 is hooked on the other end of the base-plate 4, and its tongue 13 is then inserted through the second slot 8. The base-plate 4 is either narrower than the body 1 or may be slotted, for ventilation. Holes 17 in the end-covers accept wires leading to the battery charger.
