Abstract
1,266,488. Hit-and-miss ventilators. E. A. GOEN. 27 May, 1970 [27 May, 1969], No. 25567/70. Heading F4V. In a hit-and-miss ventilator arrangement comprising an apertured rear plate 10 sliding in guides behind an apertured front plate 2, stops 13 pressed rearwardly from the plate 10 cooperate with cams 9 pressed inwardly from the rear webs 5 of the guides to urge the plate 10 closer to the plate 2 as it approaches the closed position, and to hold the plate 10 against the plate 2 in the closed position, Fig. 3. The rectangular slide 10 is operated through a linkage 16, 18 by rotating a knob 14 on the front of the ventilator unit. The invention may be applied to a rotating shutter.
