Abstract

1324989 Mounting lamps B J MARTIN 25 Aug 1970 [25 Aug 1969] 42159/69 Heading F4R [Also in Divisions F2 and G5] A display device, e.g. a light fitment 45, is pivotally secured at pin 36 to a tube 24 which can be rotated by a motor 27. Tube 18 is rotatable independently of and coaxially with tube 24 by means of motor 21, and has mounted rigidly upon it a cam-ring 30 whose plane is inclined to the axis of the tubes. A cam-roller 40 secured to the fitment 45 is urged into contact with the ring 30 by a spring 47. When tube 24 is rotated the fitment 45 rotates about the tube axis and pivots about pin 36. The tube 18 may be rotated at the same speed as tube 24 or at a different speed; and the two tubes may be rotated in opposite directions. Electric current is supplied to the lamp 48 by bushes 54, mounted upon the insulating disc 53 secured to tube 24, contacting stationary strips 52. The device may be inverted on a wooden base (60), Fig. 2 (not shown), for placing on a table.
