Abstract

1324312 Boots &c HUMANIC SCHUH AG 11 Jan 1972 [12 Jan 1971] 1293/72 Heading A3B A shoe insole is formed from a blank 1, the blank having the form of a pouch made of a stretchable material and having a tubular extension 4 communicating with the interior of the pouch and preferably connected to the edge of the pouch near the heel area. Tube 4 is used for introducing a hardenable filler composition, preferably a two-component mixture which hardens with or without foaming, into the pouch when in place in a shoe containing a foot so that the insole adopts a shape corresponding to the underside of the foot and the upper surface of the shoe sole. The pouch may be made by cementing or welding together two shaped pieces 2, 3 of weldable plastics foil or of textile material coated on one side with a weldable plastic.
