Abstract

A slipper has the sole and side uppers formed from a plastic foam (e.g. polyurethane, polyethylene) having its surface rendered smooth by e.g. applying a film of the same plastic. Pref. the sole and side uppers are are cut as a single panel with the same upper extending from opposite sides of the sole and the side uppers are folded over and their flex edges joined by e.g. engaging a tongue on one side upper in a slot in the other side upper. The slippers are cheap to produce and disposable when worn out.
