Abstract

1324086 Cleaning apparatus CANON K K 14 July 1970 [14 July 1969 (4)] 34142/70 Heading G2H A copy drum is cleaned, after image transfer, by means of a cleaning liquid and a cleaning member moving in the opposite direction to the drum to rub it. As shown, liquid 12 (e.g. water, alcohol, or Isopar (R.T.M.) is pumped through a tube 14 on to a roller 10 in rubbing contact with drum 1. A brush 11 removes the soiled liquid from roller 10, the liquid falls back into reservoir 15 and the toner therein adheres to a mesh electrode 16.
