Abstract

1444794 Cleaning electro-photographic surfaces RANK XEROX Ltd 9 Nov 1973 [10 Nov 1972] 52118/73 Heading G2H Residual toner particles removed from photoconductive drum 10 by scraper 38 fall on to roller 42, and are conveyed through the nip between rollers 42 and 43 into container 23. Blades 48, 49 remove any particles which stick to the rollers. Preferably the roller 42 has a resilient surface, and is in rolling contact with the drum 10, and the roller 43 has a surface of stainless steel. Synchronism of the rollers 42 and 43 with the drum is preferably maintained by gear-wheels.
