Abstract

1303493 Electro-photographic developing apparatus XEROX CORP 26 March 1970 [2 April 1969] 14650/70 Heading G2H Developer brushes 107, 110, 112 are loaded with toner by means of rollers 109, 111, 113 which are biased with a first polarity in one area to pick up toner from a cloud formed by paddles 106, and are biased with a second polarity in another area to unload developer on to brushes 107, 110, 112 (brush 107 being loaded through the intermediary of a rayon roller 108). The rate of toner application is controlled by adjusting the speed of rollers 109, 111, 113. The developer brushes may be cylindrical or endless belts, and may rotate or oscillate.
