Abstract

1314865 Electro-photographic apparatus FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 25 Sept 1970 [26 Sept 1969] 45922/70 Heading G2H An electro-photographic apparatus comprises photo-sensitive paper 1, a corona discharging device 7, an exposure station bounded by a white frame forming device, roller 15 and blade wheel 12 for applying a liquid of high electrical resistance to both sides of the exposed paper, developing electrodes 27, 28, 29 and 30 in the form of drums with protrusions 404 (see Fig. 4) for maintaining the exposed paper spaced from the developing electrodes and moving at the same speed as the electrodes, developing solution supply devices 31, 32, 33 and 34 for supplying developer between the drum and the paper, scraper means 35 and 36 for excess developer, and a cleaning bath 45. The distance between the drum and paper may vary from 0À05-5mm from drums 27-30 and the surface of the drums may have fine holes therein or be of wire mesh. In other embodiments the drums may be disposed in a straight line (see Fig.2) or the developing electrode may take the form of an endless belt (see Fig.3). The paper may be fed intermittently through the exposure station and/or the developing bath. The exposed portion of the paper is maintained in face to face relationship with the developing electrode.
