Abstract

1402009 Electrostatic developer XEROX CORP 11 Oct 1972 [12 Oct 1971] 46890/72 Heading G2H An electrostatic developer comprises toner particles, a solid lubricant and an abrasive. In use it is mixed with 10 to 1,000 parts of its weight of carrier particles, which are preferably magnetic, and applied to a surface bearing an electrostatic latent image, suitably by a magnetic brush. After transfer of the developed image residual toner is removed by a blade, web or brush and as the lubricant-abrasive mixture is wiped across the surface it exerts a cleaning action. Lists of toners, carriers, abrasives and lubricants are given.
