Abstract

1323876 Reciprocating pumps JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd 11 Nov 1970 [22 Oct 1969] 51754/69 Heading F1A In a radial cylinder pump comprising a cylinder block 16 rotating on a stationary pintle valve 15, and pistons 18 engaging an eccentric track 20, the delivery is regulated in accordance with the speed of rotation by a by-pass valve 31, which is opened against a spring 35 by the action of a centrifugal weight 28 pivoted on block 16 and acting via lever 29 and stem 30. Valve 31 controls communication between outlet passage 22 and inlet 12. Outlet port 24 provides a continuous output, and a second outlet port (25), Figs.3 and 4 (not shown), provides a separate intermittent output.
