Abstract
1322754 Lattice girders EVANS BROS (CONCRETE) Ltd 24 May 1971 [21 March 1970 10 July 1970] 13761/70 and 33739/70 Headings E1K and E1W A composite girder comprises a concrete upper slab 26 forming a floor element, and a steel lattice girder below, with end fixing plates 22 for attachment to a building framework. The upper boom of the lattice girder may be embedded in the concrete, Fig. 2, and comprise longitudinal rods 12, transverse rods 18 and inverted V-shaped struts 16 fixed to a lower V-sectioned strip 10. Alternatively the' upper boom may comprise flat strips 12, 14, and the struts 32 are formedas continuous sinuous wires. Internally threaded bosses 28 may be welded to the strips 12, 14 for attachment purposes, and the angle strip 22 has slots 24, also for connection. purposes. Links of ductile material may connect the bosses 28 of adjacent girders forming a floor.
