Abstract

1321455 Inflatable craft DUNLOP HOLDINGS Ltd 19 April 1971 [17 March 1970] 12718/79 Heading B7A Inflatable tubular stubs 8 facilitate entry from the water into a life raft or other inflatable craft. Rope loops 9-11 anchored to the stubs carry rubber tubes 13 which form ladder treads. Further hand and foot grips 14, (16), (18) are provided to assist entry. The specification sets out optimum dimensions and pressures, and states that the stubs 8 can be inflated either separately or from the interior of hull tube 2 in which case non-return valves are fitted to protect tube 2 against deflation in the event of damage to a stub 8. Specification 1,162,793 is referred to.
