Abstract
1320807 Air humidifier TURMIX AG 23 Aug 1971 [21 Aug 1970] 39354/71 Heading B1R An air humidifier comprises a container divided into two communicating chambers 13 and 14 for the accommodation of water to be evaporated to the ambient by a heating device 16 in the chamber 13, wherein the container is surrounded by a housing 20 spaced therefrom to define an air path between the container and housing, which path connects an air inlet opening 22 to an air outlet opening 23; and a hygrostatic switch 24 adjacent the air inlet opening 22, and operable to sense the humidity of the air passing through the air path and control the heating device 16 accordingly. An insulating wall 12 separates the chambers 13, 14 to maintain a temperature difference therebetween, whereby a connection current may be set up in the air path to draw air from the ambient being humidified into the inlet 22 of the air path and across the hygrostatic switch. The housing has support feet 30, 31 the latter of which contains a spring loaded actuating member which switches off the heating device if the content of water in the container reaches a predetermined minimum.
