Abstract

1319020 Rotary piston IC engines DAIMLERBENZ A G 16 Aug 1971 [27 Aug 1970] 38346/71 Heading F1F In an I. C. engine having a three flanked rotary piston rotatable within a housing comprising a pair of side walls 9 and a peripheral wall 2 defining a bi-arcuate track 1, lubricating oil ducts 6, 8 are provided in the wall 2, the ducts 6 having openings 10 formed between the side faces 7 of the wall 2 and the faces of the side walls 9. The openings 10 are formed by substantially semi-circular recesses in the side faces 7 located immediately downstream of the engine inlet port in the direction of piston rotation. The engine may have more than one cylinder.
